Feria in Sevilla!

Image
Welcome Back, I am back to another blog. Over the past week I have truly been taking in the Spanish culture and enjoying my favorite week in Sevilla yet. I have been at FERIA all week enjoying all the different attractions. Studying abroad in Sevilla during the spring gives all students the opportunity to enjoy Semana Santa and Feria, which I highly recommend all students to attend both. You truly get to experience the Spanish culture and history at both events. A couple blogs ago I talked about Semana Santa, and during this blog ill talk about Feria. Feria, what is it? Feria is basically a version of a giant state fair. All day and all week long you can attend Feria and have a great time. Feria is truly unique to Spain and is something you must experience as it is kind of hard to describe. But I'll give you a brief summary. When going to Feria you can go anytime throughout the afternoon and just go walk the streets that are lined up with beautiful casetas (tents) that are both pri

Food in Espana

Hola Amigos,  FOOD! FOOD! and more FOOD! Yes, I am back with another blog focusing on some of the famous Spanish cuisine. I have been eating this food ever since I have arrived in Seville. Literally everyday I eat so much food and try so many different types of food I am impressed by how much I am able to eat. Now every once in a while I would switch somethings up but for the most part that was my diet throughout college. I was picky I did not like certain types of vegetables or fruits, I disliked fish, and didn't like eggs. I would say these three things are eaten a lot here in Spain, so I thought I was going to struggle to eat. But that was not the case, I absolutely love Spanish food and I eat so much of it. I am abl

Hello y'all, Welcome back to another installment of my blogging. Today I'll be giving you a brief overview of the wonderful celebration of Semaña Santa (Holy Week) in Seville. This is a week long celebration of Easter. What a great event it was to experience, and I am so happy I decided not to travel. When I first saw my schedule of coming to Seville, and saw that all my classes would be cancelled the week of April 3rd - April 7th I thought to myself, "why not spend this time traveling around Europe." But after talking with some coworkers and locals they suggested I stay and experience the whole week. So I decided to spend the whole last week in Seville, and truly take in the whole adventure of Semaña Santa.   Leading up to the beginning of the week I'll admit I was very scared as everyone I talked to was telling me that millions of people come to the city center and celebrate. Its impossible to get anywhere on time, the crowds are huge, and its hot. Personally, I
