Group trip to Granada

 Welcome back,

I am back with another blog on my study abroad experience. So far throughout my blogs I have discussed a variety of activities I have been able to do just within my first two weeks in Seville. What a wonderful city Seville is as I never find myself being bored as there is so much to do and explore. Well the focus of this blog is a little different than my last couple blogs. This blog will be spent talking about my first included trip through the SAIIE program. SAIIE includes a couple of day or two day trips within there study abroad program, and this past weekend our group was able to take our first trip. On Friday morning we packed the seven students and Samantha Chipres into a van and headed to the beautiful city of Granada with a schedule set to visit some of the most beautiful views you could ever imagine.

Friday afternoon we arrived to Granada, and began exploring the beautiful city. We first went around to experience some tapas and ventured on up to the Alhambra. This was a hike of a walk to get to for our private tour, but the walk was definitely worth it. The private tour took around 2.5 hours providing us with lots of the history of the Alhambra, and beautiful pictures of the city of Granada. After the tour we got some dinner and then spent the rest of the night exploring and enjoying the night life of Granada as it has a huge international population.

The next morning we woke up and again went exploring and ended up getting some more wonderful pictures of Granada. Shortly after we went and did some shopping and got some lunch! Finally, we loaded the van back up and ventured back to Seville. Both rides to Granada and back to Seville were cool as we were able to see more of the country side of Spain, which has a bunch little villages all along the drive. But you could definitely tell it was a successful trip as all the students fell asleep on the way home. Very appreciated of Samantha for driving us there.

What a wonderful trip Granada was and so happy SAIIE was able to set us up with this beautiful trip!

Adios!
